Questions we hear
Is Business Network the same as GXS?
Yes. OpenText acquired GXS in 2014. Trading Grid and the B2B managed services are now part of OpenText Business Network.
Does it work with SAP S/4HANA?
Yes. OpenText provides adapters for SAP S/4HANA and ECC, and we design the IDoc and output side in your SAP system.
We already use SAP Business Network (Ariba). Do we need this?
They solve different problems. SAP Business Network connects buyers and suppliers in procurement; OpenText Business Network covers EDI with customers, logistics partners, banks and country e-invoicing. SAP Ariba itself uses OpenText for some non-SAP connectivity.
Who do we sign with?
Licenses and managed services are contracted with OpenText. We coordinate the process and the SAP side of the project.
